Our thoughts on this rifle scope

We at Shogun were immediately impressed by the build quality. The turrets click firmly and audibly, making over-rotation during adjustment virtually impossible. What stands out: the German Schott HT glass with VePRO coating delivers approximately 90% light transmission — you genuinely see more detail at dusk than with many competitors in this price range. The optics feel solid, and the weight of 861 grams immediately gives you the sense that you are working with serious equipment.

Technology and optical performance

The Continental features the VEC-MBR2 reticle with a 0.035 MIL centre dot and 0.2 MIL hashmarks, specifically designed for Precision Rifle Shooting. Because the reticle is positioned in the first focal plane (FFP), it scales with magnification — meaning your holdovers remain accurate at every zoom level. The eye relief of 100 mm is comfortable, and the dioptre adjustment ranges from -3 to +2. With an adjustment range of no less than ≥ 31 MIL in elevation and ≥ 18 MIL in windage, combined with a 1/10 MIL click value, you have extremely fine control. The turrets feature zero stop, turret lock, and a revolution indicator.

The housing is constructed from 6061-T6 aluminium with a matte black finish, filled with nitrogen to prevent fogging and tested to IP67 waterproof and 1000 G shockproof standards. The illumination offers 11 settings and operates on a CR2032 battery. Want to review all specifications? Check the 'More information' tab.

Mounting and compatibility

This scope features a generous tube diameter of 34 mm, which provides the large adjustment range and added rigidity. A welcome bonus: the box includes 34mm Picatinny rings. Picatinny is the standard mounting rail found on virtually all modern platforms and many PCP air rifles, ensuring broad compatibility. Additionally, you receive a sunshade, flip-up lens caps, a spare turret, a plastic wrench, a cleaning cloth, and a manual — a complete package.

Who is this rifle scope intended for?

This rifle scope is clearly aimed at the experienced sports shooter who focuses on precision shooting at medium to long ranges. Thanks to the FFP reticle, the fine MIL clicks, and the audible turrets, it is particularly well suited for PRS competitions and static shooting setups where you truly make use
