WE | Apache SD3 | GBB – an airsoft submachine gun for every skirmish
The WE-Tech Apache SD3 is an impressive GBB replica of the well-known MP5 platform. This submachine gun is perfect for CQB engagements and mid-range field play. With its robust metal construction and realistic blowback action, you get an authentic shooting experience that every airsofter will appreciate.
Personal experience with this airsoft submachine gun
The first thing you notice about the Apache SD3 is its weight of 3.1 kilograms – it feels solid and realistic. The blowback is powerful and gives you a satisfying recoil with every shot. Switching between the four fire modes (safe, semi-automatic, burst, and fully automatic) is smooth via the ambidextrous fire selector. The balance is excellent, allowing you to shoot comfortably even during longer sessions.
What makes the WE | Apache SD3 | GBB special?
This replica stands out thanks to its unique "Empty-Chamber-Stop-Firing" system – a first for MP5 models. This means the hammer is only released after the last BB has been fired, just like a real firearm. The stamped metal upper receiver features authentic weld marks and "bullet markings" for extra realism. The MP5 platform is known for its reliability, and this WE-Tech version is no exception.
Technology & performance
The Apache SD3 operates on gas and delivers an impressive 403 FPS with a power output of 1.5 joules (measured with 0.20g BBs). The adjustable hop-up ensures accurate shots at long range. The magazine has a capacity of 45 BBs and is specially designed for optimal air sealing. The barrel length of 327mm offers a good balance between accuracy and manoeuvrability.
