GAMO PR-45 Pistol
The GAMO PR-45 is a pre-compressed air pistol that is characterised by its classic match pistol appearance. This pneumatic pistol is ideal for recreational shooting and precision training, with a sleek design that focuses on functionality without superfluous details.
Our experience with the PR-45
The Shogun team was immediately impressed by this air pistol. Weighing 550 grams, it is excellently balanced in the hand. The combination of polymer and metal feels solid, whilst the barrel tilts smoothly and cocking is surprisingly light.
Technology, performance and variants
This pre-compressed air pistol works without CO2 cartridges via a proven piston system. With a calibre of 4.5mm, a power of 3.5 joules and a muzzle velocity of 115 m/s (377 FPS), it falls within the freely available category. The break barrel system makes loading simple: lift the top, insert a pellet and you're ready. The length of 21 cm and the single action trigger system provide a predictable shooting experience. Curious about all the technical details? You'll find them under the heading 'More information' on this page.
Use and operation
This air pistol offers wonderfully straightforward operation. The manual safety catch is intuitively positioned and loading via the break barrel system is swift. Thanks to the pneumatic system, you experience minimal recoil, allowing you to focus entirely on your shooting stance. The standard front sight and rear notch enable accurate aiming.
Who is this air pistol intended for?
The PR-45 is perfect for recreational shooters who want to work on precision at a reasonable price. Beginners appreciate the simple operation and minimal recoil, whilst advanced shooters use it as a training pistol for distances up to 20 metres. The included case completes the package.
