Jet 2 | Black | Hatsan
The Hatsan Jet 2 is an innovative PCP air rifle that transforms in an instant from air pistol to compact rifle. This versatile airgun combines the manoeuvrability of a pistol with the stability of a rifle, ideal for recreational shooting and precision work. With its dual air cylinders and multi-shot system, this model offers up to 60 shots on a single fill.
Our experience with the Jet 2 | Black | Hatsan
The Shogun team was impressed by the well-considered construction of this air pistol. The polymer frame feels solid without becoming heavy, and the transformation from pistol to rifle proceeds surprisingly smoothly. The ergonomic grip with ribbing ensures excellent control, even during longer shooting sessions.
Technology, performance and variants
This PCP system operates with a maximum fill pressure of 250 bar. All variants have a barrel length of 200mm, a magazine capacity of 8 shots, and are equipped with 22mm Weaver rails. The difference lies in the calibers: this model is available in 4.5mm (16 Joule, 820 FPS / 250 MPS), 5.5mm (21.5 Joule, 740 FPS / 226 MPS) and 6.35mm (25 Joule, 630 FPS / 192 MPS). The larger calibers deliver more energy but a lower velocity, making them more suitable for powerful impact at shorter distances. Curious about all the technical details? You'll find them under the heading 'More information' on this page.
Use and operation
The operation of this airgun is intuitive thanks to the side lever cocking system and single-action trigger mechanism. The safety catch is positioned logically and the multi-shot magazine slides effortlessly into position. The stock is not only folding but also extendable, whilst the adjustable cheek piece accommodates both left- and right-handed shooters.
Who is this air pistol intended for?
The Jet 2 suits shooters seeking flexibility. Beginners appreciate the simple operation and the included case. Advanced shooters choose the 4.5mm for maximum precision at distance, whilst the 6.35mm variant with its 25 Joule is preferred for powerful air rifle performance at shorter distances.
