Primary Arms SLx 5-25×56 FFP Rifle Scope

Primary Arms SLx 5-25×56 FFP Rifle Scope

This rifle scope from Primary Arms' SLx line is built for long-range precision. With a wide magnification range and a generous objective lens, you still get a clear, steady image at maximum magnification — ideal if you value accurate aiming at long distances.

Our thoughts on this rifle scope

What immediately stands out is how well-finished this SLx feels. The adjustment turrets produce a clear, audible and tactile click of 0.1 MIL, and the return-to-zero function works reliably: once set, you can return to your zero point without any hassle. Also a clever feature is the interchangeable windage turret, allowing you to choose between a capped or tactical configuration. For this price range, it's a surprisingly complete package.

Technical and optical performance

The heart of this rifle scope is the 5-25x56 magnification combined with an objective lens diameter of 56 mm. This large objective lens provides greater light transmission and therefore a better exit pupil — 11.2 mm at the lowest setting and 2.24 mm at the highest. The reticle is positioned in the First Focal Plane, meaning your measurements remain accurate at every magnification level. You also get an eye relief of 4.00 inches, a parallax adjustment range of 10 yards – ∞, and a red illuminated Mil-dot reticle (ACSS Athena BPR MIL / ACSS Apollo). A useful detail: this optic is also night vision compatible.

The housing is constructed from aluminium with a hardcoat anodised finish, weighs approximately 0.98 kilograms, and runs on a CR2032 battery. Would you like to review all details such as adjustment range and field of view? Please refer to the 'More Information' tab.

Mounting and compatibility

This rifle scope has a tube diameter of 34 mm, meaning you will need rings or a mounting bracket of that size. The mount is not included — this is a standalone optic. Choose rings that are compatible with your rail system and the desired height to maintain a proper eye relief.

Who is this rifle scope intended for?

This SLx targets the advanced user who wants to engage at distance: sport shooters making use of static setups, precision shooting on paper, or users who want to distinguish contrast and detail into low-light conditions thanks to the high-transmission lens. The interchangeable turrets and FFP reticle make it versatile enough for those who like to fine-tune their setup, while the lifetime warranty provides additional confidence.
