Our experience with the Record Model 1
The Shogun team was pleasantly surprised by the surprising simplicity of this air pistol. The break-barrel system works flawlessly: break the barrel, insert a pellet, shoot. The polymer grip sits comfortably in the hand and with a weight of just 725 grams you can shoot for hours without fatigue. The solid build quality for this price range makes it a reliable choice.
Technology, performance and variants
This pistol works with a classic break-barrel system where you cock a spring by breaking the barrel. The Model 1 has a 130mm long smooth barrel without a muzzle end and is suitable for both lead pellets and darts. With a caliber of 4.5mm, a maximum power of 4.2 joules and a muzzle velocity of 90 m/s (295 FPS), this is an ideal entry-level model for plinking at 8-10 metre distances. Curious about all the technical details? You'll find them under the heading 'More information' on this page.
Use and operation
This air pistol has a single action trigger system, which means you must first break the barrel before you can shoot. The safety catch is logically positioned and easy to operate. The classic front and rear iron sight is effective for short distances. With a total length of 29 cm, the pistol is compact and easy to carry.
Who is this air pistol intended for?
