The Snowpeak AP1000B Mercury CFB is a lightweight PCP air rifle with folding stock and carbon air reservoir. Our experience with AP1000B Mercury CFB | Snowpeak

The Shogun team has extensively tested this air rifle and the balance between portability and performance is particularly striking. The folding stock makes transport exceptionally practical, whilst the carbon barrel shroud and air reservoir provide surprisingly stable shooting behaviour despite the low weight.

Technology, performance and variants

This PCP air rifle operates on compressed air with a regulator for consistent shots. The carbon air reservoir has a capacity of 500 cc and a fill pressure of 250 bar. The rifle has a barrel length of 500 mm and a total length between 800-1065 mm thanks to the folding stock. The cocking system consists of a side lever. This Mercury CFB is available in three variants: calibre 4.5mm (23 joules), 5.5mm (39 joules) and 6.35mm (49 joules). The magazine capacity differs per calibre: 10 shots for 4.5mm and 12 shots for the larger calibres. The higher joule power of the larger calibres means more force on impact, ideal for shooters who wish to shoot at longer distances. Curious about all the technical details? Use and operation

This powerful air rifle feels particularly comfortable during use. The thumb-operated safety catch ensures safe operation, whilst the AR-15-style rubber pistol grip offers excellent control. The adjustable trigger makes it possible to set the trigger feel to personal preference. The loading system works via interchangeable magazines, with two included as standard.

For whom is this air rifle intended?

The AP1000B Mercury CFB is suitable for both novice and advanced shooters who value portability without compromising on performance. The 4.5mm variant is ideal for precision shooting at shorter distances, whilst the 5.5mm and 6.35mm variants with their higher joule power perform better at longer distances and in windy conditions.
