Our experience with the Katran L HP
Upon first contact with this air rifle, the solid construction immediately stands out. The combination of metal and polymer results in a sturdy whole that feels perfectly balanced at 2.82 kg. The side lever operates remarkably smoothly, making the cocking process between shots pleasant. The modern AR15-style grip offers excellent hold and the fully adjustable metal stock immediately feels like premium quality.
Technology, performance and variants
This powerful air rifle operates on compressed air with a maximum fill pressure of 300 bar. The 520 mm long barrel is specially designed for optimal performance. All variants are equipped with a magazine with a capacity of 16 shots and a 22mm Weaver top rail. This model is available in 5.5mm caliber with 60 Joule power and 6.35mm caliber with 85 Joule power. The higher power in 6.35mm provides extra force at longer distances, whilst 5.5mm is ideal for precision shooting. Use and operation
The operation of this air-powered weapon has been thought through down to the last detail. The single-action trigger system is fully adjustable to your preference. The safety catch works intuitively and the aluminium stock adapts perfectly – both the length and the cheek piece are height-adjustable. For transport, you can even fold the stock. The Key-Mod mounting rail offers all possibilities for accessories.
