Our View on This Rifle Scope

We thoroughly enjoyed testing this rifle scope, and what stood out most was its versatility. The magnification range of 3-18x makes it suitable for both close and long-range use, and the included throw lever lets you switch from the lowest to the highest setting in an instant. The glass is surprisingly clear right to the edges, and the housing feels genuinely solid – you can tell there is an aircraft-grade aluminium body under the hood.

Technology and Optical Performance

Optically, this rifle scope delivers strong performance. With a magnification of 3-18x44 and a lens diameter of 44 mm, it gathers a great deal of light, which is noticeably beneficial in low-light conditions. The reticle is an EBR-7C (MRAD) crosshair with a First Focal Plane (FFP) configuration, meaning the reticle's subtensions scale with the magnification – useful for holdovers and range estimation at any power setting. The eye relief of 3.8" provides comfortable viewing, and thanks to the illuminated reticle, you can maintain a sharp aim even in poor lighting conditions.

The housing is built from a single-piece tube with a 34 mm tube diameter, nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed for water and fog resistance. The illumination runs on a CR2032 battery, and with a weight of 0.75 kg and a length of 33.7 cm, the scope remains easy to handle. Mounting and Compatibility

This rifle scope features a 34 mm tube and therefore requires compatible rings or a mount of that size. Vortex Strike Eagle models are typically mounted on a Picatinny rail – the standard found on many PCP air rifles and tactical setups, offering secure attachment and broad compatibility.

Please note: mounting rings are not included as standard; this is a standalone optic. However, it does come with a comprehensive accessories package: Sunshade, Throw Lever, Lens Cover, Lens Cloth, CR2032 Battery, 2 mm Hex Wrench, and RevStop Zero Ring. The RevStop Zero Ring is a particularly welcome addition, ensuring reliable return to zero after adjusting the turrets.
